So, I'm obviously NOT getting the "joy" project accomplished. Believe me, it's NOT due to lack of joys, as I have endless. I'm sorry, Sarah.
Mostly, it's due to lack of time, lack of ability to blog at any given moment, and, I must admit, a nasty little stomach bug that got my baby girl down for about four days. Ugh. And although I was even able to find moments of joy in THAT, posting about it didn't happen.
My poor girl. So hard for her to feel so badly and be so confused about what's happening with her body. I had no way to explain it to her, so I tried my best to just be reassuring. She bunked in with her daddy and me for a few nights- this was a true treat. It's pretty rare that Violet might cuddle up to us and fall asleep- usually it's poking me in the eye, crawling on my arm, jumping on the bed. It was a joy to have a snuggle bunny there with us.
More joys? SO FAR, Oliver hasn't caught the bug from his twin. I shouldn't even write it, I know, but what a major blessing if he stays healthy!
our house. Look in the window on the 2nd floor. My greeting arriving home after a shopping trip? My boy, in his birthday suit, for all the world to see. We're so, so, SO thrilled getting ready for the holiday! My house is a disaster, my gifts aren't wrapped, I still have so much to do, but I'm pretty sure I will bliss out through it all over the next couple of days!
Lots to talk about in the next few days...our Christmas party at the twins' preschool! A visit from Omi and Uncle Adam! Church caroling service! Chinese food Christmas eve dinner! Christmas day celebration! Brunch celebration with the Boulwares!
Here's to hoping we get through it with joy, love, patience and laughs.
Happy Christmas week, ya'll!

That picture is a keeper! ROFL!!!
