getting ready for Halloween!

close encounter with the peacock! I love that they roam around free at the zoo. and check out Ollie's big boy sneakers! Arg.

Oliver's big leg coming down ON the pumpkin. I can't believe the mums are still sitting there, to be honest!

We made a trip to the zoo this past weekend- unfortunately only getting one photo before the camera died! It was a GREAT one, at least! It has gotten really chilly here quickly, so I'm going to have to start being creative with our daily activities.

My friend Kevin (we call him "uncle scissors", since Oliver said what sounded like "scissors" about 50 times when he s
aw him last) made us these AMAZING pumpkins! So cute and perfect for us. He even put little holes in the front, so with a candle inside, it looks like their names are surrounded by stars....we are so lucky!

Oliver is really into footwear lately- at least comfortable footwear. He brings me his Elmo slippers and Ugg boots throughout the day, and then sits down so I can put them on his feet. Too cute.
The latest in the daredevil news: We came into the living room the other night, and Violet was trying to STAND on her rocking horse. It' so like her- she just learned to get on and off alone, and rock it, and she take it to the limit. Between the bareback riding and trapeze work, we almost certain of a career in the circus now.

ELEVEN MONTHS!!

Amazingly enough, yesterday it was eleven months since the birth of the babes. WOW. As you'll see, the picture thing is just not happening anymore! To be honest, it is a struggle getting them to stay still long enough to change their diapers now, so sitting for a photo (especially with a nice, delicious sign next to them!) is pretty much impossible! We tried, though...You'll also notice several bruises on both O and V's foreheads- we have some busy, busy babies! It's rare to get through a day without each baby falling and hitting their head at least once, and Ollie usually bites his
lip or tongue (with his 5+ teeth) at some point as well. Our friend, Kevin, gave us this awesome M&M ice pack, and we use it every day!

Yesterday was also Mommy's 36th birthday...how different to celebrate as a mom! Truly, my best, best gift was, after weeks of "sleep training" Oliver, he went to sleep on his own, without a PEEP, and both twins slept through the night! And then, wonderful Daddy got up with the babes and let me sleep in...What a great day!

We're posting some randoms shots at the bottom here- from the past few weeks. More updates soon!

"No problem, ma'am. I'll have the TV repaired in no time!"
