Two quick, hilarious events: 1. Oliver has said his first sentence. Well, his first English sentence. He "talks" non-stop, with great inflection, but we can't understand anything he says. He has two favorite books right now, and in those two books, he has two pages that he turns to and brings them to us to read (and read and read...). One of them is the end of "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom"-a great book! His favorite line is "and W, X, Y and Z. The WHOLE alphabet up the....Oh, NO!". Suddenly, the other day, he brought the book to me and said, "Oh, NO! Oh, NO!". I squeezed him so hard.
2. As jovial as Oliver is, Violet is as pensive. I don't even want to label them, of course, but Oliver will laugh if I look at him sideways; Violet only if I work my funny bone off for her! It's worth it, because both of their laughter is the best. Anyhow, the other night we were watching one of our pre-bedtime shows : "Jack's Big Music Show", and they introduced a character called "Phil the Coo Coo bird". Violet (who has NEVER laughed at a TV show in her life) was HYSTERICAL! I finally got the video camera out, because she laughed every time Phil came on the screen. The best part is that after we put her down, we heard her chuckle through the monitor- like she was remembering how funny Phil was.
Videos below are of Oliver feeling the Holiday groove (in the bathtub...), and Violet watching Phil.
