no photos today, but thought we would check in with a few updates! The babies had a wonderful visit with Omi. They got used to her being here really quickly, and loved spending time with her! I think Omi may need a vacation after her time with us- O and V can be quite exhausting; and she said she sees new definition in her arms after a few (hundred) times of jumping Ollie into the air!
We had our first trip our to a restaurant with no car seats this week! We went to one of our favorite places, Le Bus, here in Manayunk, and each baby sat in a high chair (after mommy had obsessively scrubbed it down with wipes and covered with special seat covers), and played, ate lemons, looked at the other diners....they were beautifully behaved! Another accomplishment for our little family. :)
We have our 9 month check-up on Monday, and we're anxious to find out the babies' new weights. Oliver is still a big boy, of course, but Violet has been chowing down like a champ, recently, and we're thinking she may be having a growth spurt!
Things that have made everyone smile lately:
*watching the birds eat out of our new bird feeder in the front yard (and occasionally a squirrel too!)
*our new musical instruments for the babes- drum, tamborine and bells. we may become the Partridge Family yet!
*Oliver's new smile- lately he likes to show off his teeth!
*Violet's recent AMAZING sleep habits! Such a sweet girl!
*The big curl in the back of Violet's hair. ( I know a little girl, who had a little curl...)
*The new top tooth coming in for Ollie- a big chiclet!
*no more mice (so far!)
