This was taken the other day when we were getting smiles and stories from both Violet and Oliver. Oliver obviously gets nervous in front of the camera...
We had our two month check-up this week! Both babies are weighing in well- Violet is 10lbs and Oliver is 13lbs. Daddy was thinking the pediatrician might be concerned with Big O's weight gain, but his length is growing as well, so he can continue to eat with abandon. They got their immunizations, which were heart-wrenching for mom and dad, and pretty sad for O and V too!
We went on our first walk in the park this past week too! Oliver doesn't care for the stroller yet- the bumps in the sidewalk startle him, we think- so he rode in the sling on mommy, and Violet stayed in the stroller with dad pushing. We had a wonderful afternoon with very little crankiness! These moments sure help us get through the crying jags....we hope they continue to increase!
Both of them are highly photogenic. In different ways of course. Oliver in an aloof kind of way. Violet in a coquettish way. Both look well-fed and happy. Hope mom and dad are doing the same (lay off the cheese-steaks, candy). We also hope we can get there before too long. Keep the videos and the pictures coming if you can. We love them, and check at least five times a day. (And when he types 5, he really means 15-20).
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful. Violet's descending vocalization is a dead ringer for Aimee's trilling laugh! I see Oliver still has that "volcano" action going. Hang in there Ollie, I'm still planning on you and I tubing the rapids in North Carolina for my 80th birthday! Omi
