Oliver and Violet turned two months old yesterday! We can hardly believe time has gone so fast. Both babies are still quite cranky, but we did manage to prompt a few smiles for the occasion.
Did a little looking around and it seems that babies' first social interaction is, indeed, the smile! Their brains are not mature enough to do this before they reach the six week mark, or so. So their smiles are an indication, the scientific literature says, that they recognize you and can respond! Flirts... (the babies, not the scientists) How incredibly cute! A & D

They are so adorable!!!! I love the matching outfits. Don't get down, the first few months are tough enough with just one baby. Hang in there you two.
