Finally catching up on here! I find myself just posting photos a lot, because the babes have become obsessed with the computer-Violet can actually hold the mouse the right way, putting one finger on the roller bar. Think that might mean the mama is blogging and facebooking too much?As always, the babes are very busy- LOVING the spring weather (mommy, too!). They love playing in the backyard, drawing with chalk on the ground, playing with their new cars, and mostly- RUNNING. Even when we take them to the playground, they always end up just running in the grass. Very cute to watch.
We started our new music class (see side bar: "music class"), and it is amazing to watch- we hadn't been since the babies had just turned 12 months. Talk about huge changes! It is tough, on the one hand- I see many other toddler their ages, just sitting with their hands in their laps, waiting patiently for the next song. Oliver and Violet, however are running around the outside of the circle, with Violet heading towards the teacher's DVD player, and Oliver trying every doorknob in the room to make a run for it. However, when we are singing (or playing instruments, or dancing), they love it. They've learned so many of the songs already, and get excited when they hear them in class. I'm so glad we signed up again!
Violet is talking like crazy- she knows every animal now- even the tough ones like "kangaroo" and "caterpillar". She's even started to say "thank you", although usually in the wrong direction- like if I ask her to give me a book, she'll hand it to me and then thank me, but hey- I'll take manners where I can get them!
Oliver is obsessed with two things right now: "Yo Gabba Gabba!" (see link with photo above) and trains. There are five little characters on YGG! and he has them all. He kisses them, dances with them, has them hug each other and me, and knows all of them by name- and they are weird names! He swiped two trains from the Please Touch Museum this week- they have a little train track set up with Thomas Trains for it, which he LOVES. I found them in the stroller when we got home (and will be returning them this week). He loves them! Pushes them back and forth on the stairs, on his racetrack, making a "woo woo!" sound.
