I've been pretty bad about writing lately, only popping videos on when I can. We're trudging along here, hoping for Spring SOON. We're outside on any day it gets above 48-ish degrees. The babies LOVE being in the yard, going to the playground, and especially walking/ running up and down the block! They are fascinated by rocks, dirt, branches, trees. Today we saw a ladybug, and spent a good ten minutes passing it around, talking about it, etc. Makes me REALLY excited for the warmer weather!

Violet's talking is amazing now. She's surprising us daily! I got a little magnetic alphabet set for the fridge, and we were playing with it one day and she started saying "h!h!", and I'll be darned if she didn't pick up the H!!! For one split second, I thought maybe she was a genius, and I asked her where the N was, but, nope- only H. So far. The video above is us trying to get some of her better words out.

We had our first playdate with some new friends last week- TWINS! Identical girl twins, Sydney and Samantha, born only a few weeks after O and V. We had a great time, and it was so interesting so watch them all interact. The only thing that had me a bit stumped was how Rebecca (their mom) was able to keep "adult" things on display. She had books out, her wedding album, picture frames, even a glass vase! I don't even have a coffee table anymore, and I have to hide the piano bench! Oliver was all over the aforementioned in moments of arrival at our friends (despite the array of new toys). A little embarrassing. One shining moment I want to share, though, because I know someday it will be far different. Rebecca had made chocolate chip cookies for everyone, a slight dilemma for me, as I've never given the babes chocolate, and rarely give them sugar. I acquiesced, seeing on how her girls were chowing down- I totally expected (at least) Oliver to devour them! Wrong! Both babies spit them out, and opted for the Veggie Bootie I brought instead. Small victory!! (not to worry about wasted cookies- I ate enough for the three of us....)
All for now! Enjoy the video!
