The photos were tougher than ever this morning! Two very, very busy babies. I can't believe it was nine months ago that I could barely get them to stay awake long enough to take a one month old birthday photo. Now we can't get them to even stay on the couch (as you'll see below, Oliver was ready to take dive #3 off the sofa!). And, the sign is out of the question. I stuck it in quickly at one point, but both babies grabbed it, crinkled it and then struggled over getting in their mouths at the same time. You can see on one of the photos a big bruise on Ollie's right cheek; this was from a spill a few days ago where he pulled the toy on top of himas he fell back. His lip bled and his hurt his cheek- sobbed for 10 minutes straight. :(
Oliver has three 1/2 teeth now- they are beautiful and funny at the same time. Violet has.....no teeth. Still. We are finally working into serious solids, chopping up fruit and veggies into little bits and having no one actually vomit. Both babies are crawling backwards, only. We put very desirable items in front of them, just out of reach (say, the remote control, or the mommy's shoe), and they get all revved up, working so hard, and then crawl backwards, and can't understand why the object is farther away! They both talk a lot now- mostly to themselves, sometimes to us or the Teletubbies (yes, I've succumbed). We've even seen them make each other laugh a few times- it is HILARIOUS!
We're adding some attempted birthday photos below, and a video of random pictures: playing in the sandbox with Trevor, mommy's friend "uncle" Kevin's visit, our first brunch out in Manayunk, etc.
