February so far....

is off to a rough start! Both babies have colds...ugh. The past two nights have been worse than our nights in the beginning! We will finally get one baby comfortable, nasal-passageway-cleared, humidified, sleeping, and the other will wake up wanting that too. Poor, poor babes. Ben and I just keep reminding ourselves that this, too, shall pass.

In the wake of all the runny noses and exhausted family of four, we've had some unexpected company, all of whom are dirty, sneaky and unwelcome. Yes, we have mice. It started when Ben had to pass through the dining room en route to the kitchen to get a bottle. It was late, it was dark, he was barefoot...you know where this is going. Somehow a dead mouse ended up on our dining room floor! Ugh. Since then we've seen them in the back room, and "traces" of them even in the living room (why would a mouse like the living room rug?). We hit our breaking point, two nights ago, when, after 20 minutes of me and Ollie steaming in the bathroom at 2 am (again, in the dark), we realized a mouse was IN THE BATHROOM. We're fed up! We have babies, for goodness sake, who are on the floor!! Putting things in their mouths!! Anyhow, we've gone out and bought every trap, bait and weird plug in-sonic-anti-rodent thing possible. If anyone has any advice, we'd really appreciate it.

So- we'll add some our the latest videos below:
One is of "floor time" - you can really see how close Oliver is getting to crawling! Violet has started a new thing- she kind of dances while laying on her back- Ollie wants nothing to do with it.

The next is Violet trying to run away from home.

Finally some of the babies' bonding time on the couch.
